Per Lindberg
Per Lindberg (born March 5, 1890 in Stockholm , † February 7, 1944 there ) was a Swedish theater and film director.
Life
Lindberg was considered an innovator of the Swedish theater of the 1920s and 1930s. Among other things, he managed the Theater am Konserthuset and also used the modern medium of radio to reach his audience. In 1923, Lindberg directed his first film, Female Bachelors , with the theater actress Tora Teje in the lead role. He was influenced by the style of Soviet film of the 1920s and showed an interest in film expressionism and documentary film . In The June Night (1940) he brought Ingrid Bergman to one of her best acting performances.
