Early knife
As Frühmesser or early measurement Mr. ( Latin Primissarius ) was a Catholic priest referred to the owner as one of Foundation income funded sinecures (a benefice ) for regular celebration of the Holy Mass was committed in the early morning before starting work the population. The name is no longer common today.
In some places a separate house for the early knife belonged to the benefice, the early mess house , see z. B. the Frühmesshaus Bartholomäberg .
The term early knife is not to be confused with the Mes (s) ner or Mes (s) mer , the term for a sexton in southern Germany and in Austria.
A correspondence of the spring blade in the Protestant area is the early minister , the early sermon or early teaching stops at the early service. This designation is no longer common today in its original meaning. In places, early preacher continues to exist as a traditional official title within a parish, for example at the collegiate church in Tübingen .
