Frailea perumbilicata is a species of plant in the genus Frailea from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Frailea perumbilicata grows individually with spherical bodies that have a deeply sunk vertex. The bodies reach the same height with a diameter of 2 to 3 centimeters. Most of the 14 ribs are divided into rounded cusps. Occasionally a central spine is present, but it is usually absent. The 6 to 10 brown, needle-shaped, twisted radial spines are spread out and 2 to 3 millimeters long.

The sulfur-yellow flowers are 3.4 to 4 inches long.

Distribution and systematics

Frailea perumbilicata is common in Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Sul . The first description was published in 1970 by Friedrich Ritter .
