François-Jean Moulinié
François-Jean Moulinié (born November 6, 1796 in Geneva , † September 29, 1857 in Le Petit-Lancy , resident in Geneva) was a Swiss politician .
biography
Moulinié attended the Collège of Geneva from 1811 to 1813 and then worked as a watch dealer.
From 1838 to 1841 he was a member of the Representative Council and in 1841 was a member of the Constitutional Council . He advocated liberal principles. From 1842 he had a seat as a radical in the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva and was on the city council from 1843 to 1847 . In 1846 he was in the Provisional Government, before he was from 1847 to 1851 State Councilor and headed the Department of Finance and Commerce .
In 1849 he was a co-founder of the Caisse d'escompte and had board memberships at the Banque de Genève and the Banque générale suisse de crédit international mobilier et foncier . He was also a co-founder of the Institut national genevois in 1853 and was a member of the Industry and Agriculture Section until his death .
