François Meyronnis

François Meyronnis (born December 22, 1961 in Paris ) is a French writer .

Life

Together with the writers Yannick Haenel and Frédéric Badré, Meyronnis founded the magazine Ligne de risque ( risk line ) in 1997 . In 2000 a first novel was published , Ma tête en liberté ( My head in freedom ). In the following years he published a number of essays , including L'Axe du Néant ( The Axis of Nothing ) in 2003 , followed by De l'extermination considérée comme un des beaux-arts ( Destruction as a fine art considered ). In addition to Poker 2005, a collection of conversations between Ligne de risque and the writer Philippe Sollers , the Collectif Ligne de risque was published in the same year under the direction of Meyronnis and Haenel . Here you can find a variety of conversations, etc. a. with the French sinologist François Jullien and the Heidegger specialist Gérard Guest. In 2009 Meyronnis and Haenel publish Prélude à la délivrance ( Prelude to Redemption ), a collection of interviews and joint discussions. a. on the Russian dissident Warlam Tichonowitsch Schalamow , Paul Celan and the question of the resurrection in Melville's Moby Dick .

In addition to a few articles for the newspapers Le Monde and Le Nouvel Observateur , Meyronnis excels in his works above all as an eloquent opponent of the naturalism of Michel Houellebecq or Jonathan Littell , as well as an astute analyst of contemporary nihilism in the sense of Nietzsche and Heidegger .
