Francesc Montañés Roca (born January 9, 1990 in Sant Carles de la Ràpita ) is a former Spanish tennis player . He is the younger brother of Albert Montañés .

Career

Montañés Roca played his first professional match in 2007 on the third-rate ITF Future Tour , on which he played primarily for almost his entire career. In 2011, he achieved his best position in the world rankings in singles and doubles , which, however, was beyond the top 1000. This year he had his only appearance outside of the Future Tour alongside his brother Albert Montañés. At the ATP World Tour event in Casablanca , the two lost their opening game in doubles against David Marrero and Rubén Ramírez Hidalgo . In 2013 he played his last tournament, after he last appeared regularly in tournaments in 2012.
