Francesc de Paula Gambus i Millet
Francesc de Paula Gambús i Millet (born May 21, 1974 in Barcelona , † November 23, 2019 in Brussels ) was a Spanish politician of the Unió Democràtica de Catalunya .
Life
Gambús studied political science and worked from 1998 to 2004 for the Unió member of the European Parliament , Concepció Ferrer . He then worked as a consultant for the Convergència i Unió in the Cortes Generales until 2011, a . a. He then headed the Institut d'Estudis Humanístics Miquel Coll i Alentorn , a Unió foundation, until 2014 . In the 8th electoral term from 2014 to 2019, Gambús was a member of the European Parliament. In April 2016 he left the Unió after 22 years, but held on to his mandate until the end of the electoral term. In the European Parliament he was a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and of the delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries.
Gambús was found lifeless at his home in Brussels on the morning of November 23, 2019 by Belgian police. He was married and had a son and two daughters.
