Francesco Lodi (born March 23, 1984 in Naples , Italy ) is an Italian football player . In Italy, Lodi is best known for his free kicks and good passes.

Career

Lodi came to professional football through the youth of FC Empoli . Since 2000 he was part of the professional squad Empolis, but was rarely used until 2004, so he played the second half of the 2003/04 season on loan for Vicenza Calcio . After his return to Empoli Lodi worked out a regular place and became an integral part of the team for two seasons. Nevertheless, he was awarded to Frosinone Calcio from 2006 to 2008 , where he was able to achieve 31 goals in 82 games. The 2008/09 season he played again for Empoli and was again part of the team. He was then loaned from the first division Udinese Calcio , who did not take him over after the end of the season. So in 2010 Lodi moved to his previous station Frosinone Calcio, which he left after only six months to play at Catania Calcio . There Lodi developed into the undisputed leader and was able to score 18 goals in 86 games in two and a half Serie A seasons. Despite these good performances, he left Catania in the summer of 2013 and switched to CFC Genoa . After the first round and two goals in nine starts but Lodi moved immediately to Catania back and completed the second round, in which one in the Serie B relegation. For the 2014/15 season Lodi switched to FC Parma on loan . After two years at Udinese Calcio, Lodi moved back to Catania in the summer of 2017.

Lodi went through several Italian junior national teams, but was never nominated for the senior team .
