Francesco Maria Preti
Francesco Maria Preti (born July 27, 1701 in Castelfranco Veneto ; † December 23, 1774 ibid) was an Italian architect .
His most important works include the Villa Pisani in Stra and the Cathedral of Castelfranco , for which he drew the plans in 1723. Preti further developed Andrea Palladio's principles of harmonic proportions. His theoretical findings were published in the Elementi di architettura in 1780 .
