Ken Moore

Kenneth Strath "Ken" Moore (born February 17, 1910 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan , † December 8, 1982 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) was a Canadian ice hockey player and coach . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1932 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Ken Moore began his career as a hockey player in his home province of Saskatchewan. In the 1929/30 season he won the Memorial Cup with the Regina Pats . 40 seconds before the end of the game he scored the winning goal for his team during the Memorial Cup. In the 1930/31 season he won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, with the Winnipeg Hockey Club . He then represented Canada with the Winnipeg Hockey Club at the 1932 Winter Olympics. In 1936 he also won the Allan Cup with the Kimberley Dynamiters. He later worked as a coach and supervised the St. Boniface Athletics from the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association and the St. James Canadians.

International

For Canada Moore took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , where he won the gold medal with his team.
