Career

Ibara played for Étoile du Congo in his home country until 2007 , including in the CAF Champions League . After the Junior World Championship in summer 2007, he moved to FC Sochaux in France. In the French first division, the offensive player between 2007 and 2009 did not go beyond appearances for the youth team and eight games for the reserve team in the Championnat de France Amateur . In 2010 he returned to Étoile du Congo, and since 2011 Ibara has been active for the AS Vita Club in the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo .

In early 2007, Ibara won the U-20 African Championship in their own country with the Congolese U-20 team . Ibara converted a penalty in the last group game against Burkina Faso to make it 1-0, which also meant the semi-finals. In the 1-0 final victory against Nigeria in front of 55,000 spectators, Ibara again marked the only goal of the game. Because of this success, the team was also qualified for the 2007 Junior World Cup in Canada. With four points from the three preliminary round games, they made it into the round of 16, in which they lost 3-0 to the Mexican offspring, Ibara was sent off after 48 minutes. During the tournament he was one of the outstanding players on his team and is highlighted in the official tournament report as a "fast and dribbling left midfielder" .

In 2008 Ibara made his debut in the Congolese national team as part of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup . The 18-year-old was on the starting line-up for the home game against Chad on June 22nd and scored the goal to make it 2-0. Three months later he played in another qualifying game in a 1-0 win against Mali, despite these successes the team missed the entry into the third qualifying round.
