The Francis Peaks are a group of mountain peaks and ridges in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They tower one mile southeast of Mount Gordon in the Scott Mountains .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 were used for their mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Robert J. Francis, a physicist at Mawson Station in 1961.
