Francisco Beltrame

Francisco Santiago Beltrame Echeverría (* 1952 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan politician .

Francisco Beltrame graduated from the Universidad de la República (UdelaR) as an architect. Then he was construction manager at the Centro Cooperativista Uruguayo , was a member of the management committee and finally held the deputy chairmanship. He was also a member of the management committee of the Uruguayan architects' association Sociedad de Arquitectos del Uruguay . From 2005 to 2010 he worked as a consultant to the Dirección Nacional de Vivienda (DINAVI – MVOTMA). Beltrame, a member of the Movimiento de Participación Popular (MPP), has been Minister for Housing, Regional Planning and Environment in the José Mujica government since June 8, 2012, succeeding Graciela Muslera .
