Francisco Carlos Soares

Francisco Carlos Gonçalves Soares is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of FRETILIN .

In the 2001 elections, Soares was elected to the Constituent Assembly at number 42 on the FRETILIN list, which became the National Parliament of East Timor when it became independent on May 20, 2002 . Soares replaced António Tilman Cepeda as secretary of the parliamentary presidium on June 25, 2002 . In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 Soares no longer stood as a candidate.
