Francisco David Sousa Franquelo shortly Sousa (* 3. February 1980 in Málaga ) is a Spanish footballer who at Getafe CF in the Spanish La Liga plays.
Player career
The Andalusian Sousa comes from the successful youth work of the Spanish record champions Real Madrid . In 1999 he was promoted to the squad of the B-Team of the Madrilenians before he was loaned to the first division club Real Valladolid after three years as a regular in midfield . There he signed a long-term contract in 2003. Although his new club was relegated to the Segunda División in 2003/04 , he stayed with Valladolid for two more years before moving to Getafe FC in summer 2006 , with whom he reached the 2007 Copa del Rey final, in which the Sevilla FC prevailed.
