Francisco Goitia
Francisco Goitia (born October 4, 1882 in Zacatecas , † March 26, 1960 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican painter.
He first studied at the Academia de San Carlos , spent four years studying in Barcelona with Francisco Galli and four more years in Italy . In 1912 he returned to Mexico, his hometown of Zacatecas . Goitia takes part in revolutionary struggles under General Felipe Angeles . Around this time he created two revolutionary pictures in 1916 “Baile de la revolution” and a year later the pastel “Al ahorca”.
