career

The 2.10 meter tall indoor player came to CSP Limoges in 1983 , where he made his debut in the top division of France. In 1985 he was national champion and cup winner with Limoges and left the club in the run-up to the 1985/86 game year in the direction of Orthez . There he won the championship title for the second and third time in 1986 and 1987. He stayed in Orthez until 1987. 1987/88 Butter played for the first division club Caen and brought it to 10.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. From 1988 to 1990 he was under contract in Mulhouse, where he played a smaller role than in Caen.

Even after his return to CSP Limoges, where he played again from 1990 to 1994, Butter was used as a supplementary player. In 1991 he won the French championship title with Limoges, and in 1993 Butter was involved in the double triumph: the European championship and championship. In the European Cup semi-final against Real Madrid , the inside player scored four points, in the final against Benetton Treviso Butter stood on the floor for 16 minutes and had one point and four rebounds. Limoges' victory in the European Cup was seen as a big surprise, and shortly afterwards they won the championship title in the French league. In 1994, Butter again won the championship with Limoges, and also won the national cup competition.

For the 1994/95 season Butter moved within the Ligue Nationale de Basket to Montpellier, where he received significantly more time than in Limoges. He stayed in Montpellier until 1997, after which he played seven first division games for Le Mans between 1997 and 1999, but he said he was already physically battered at this point.

Butter stood in 68 international matches for France on the parquet, he took part in the European Championship finals in 1989 and 1995.

After his sports career, Butter became the managing director of a fast-food restaurant .
