Franco Cirino

Franco Cirino Pomicino (born 1926 in Naples , † January 13, 1979 in Rome ) was an Italian film director .

Life

Cirino first graduated in law, but then worked from 1950 to 1961 as assistant director to Carmine Gallone and occasionally with other directors. During his further career in this function, which he held until 1977, he assisted a. a. Vittorio de Sica , Liliana Cavani and Tonino Valerii .

In 1956 he worked as a co-director with Mario Volpe I colonniatori ; A second film followed in 1970, this time with Phil Karlson and American stars: Hornet's nest (English title: The Wasp 's Nest ). At the end of his career he was a production manager for a Bud Spencer film and appeared in a small role.

Cirino died just as early as his acting brother Bruno (1936–1981).
