Frank Dalby Davison

Frank Dalby Davison (born June 23, 1893 in Glenferrie , Victoria , † May 24, 1970 in Melbourne ) was an Australian writer .

Life

He first attended Caulfield State School and then worked on cattle ranches and orchards from the age of 12. From 1908 to 1914 he lived in the USA and learned the profession of typesetter . After participating in the First World War , he worked as a farmer and in his father's business. He worked as a critic and contributor for The Bulletin magazine .

In 1931 he was awarded the medal of the Australian Literature Society . He wrote short stories, novels, travelogues and war memories.
