Frank G. Harrison

Frank Girard Harrison (born February 2, 1940 in Washington, DC , † June 3, 2009 in Galveston , Texas ) was an American politician.

Harrison attended King's College in Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania , where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1961 . He then studied at the Law School of Harvard University , where he received his Bachelor of Laws in 1964 . Harrison was inducted into the state of Pennsylvania bar in 1965 and began practicing at Wilkes-Barre. From 1966 to 1969 he served in the United States Air Force with the rank of captain . He then worked as a college professor from 1969 to 1982.

In the 1982 congressional elections, Harrison was elected a Democrat in the 98th Congress and represented the state of Pennsylvania in the United States House of Representatives from January 3, 1983 to January 3, 1985 . He was no longer a candidate for the next congressional elections. After resigning from the House of Representatives, Harrison returned to Wilkes-Barre and became a lawyer again.
