Frank Germann

Frank Germann (born August 26, 1967 in Olpe ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

As a C-youth, Germann moved from RSV Meinerzhagen to Borussia Dortmund . On February 24, 1990, he made his only Bundesliga game for Bayer 04 Leverkusen at Karlsruher SC . In 1992 Germann moved to the upper division Arminia Bielefeld , where he became a regular player. With Arminia he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1995 and a year later to the 1st Bundesliga. He scored four goals in 106 games for Arminia. In 1996 Germann moved to Hannover 96 for one season , for which he played 30 games and just missed promotion to the 2nd division. Then the defense u. Midfielder for Sportfreunde Siegen (124 appearances), with whom he also narrowly missed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1998 and reached the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup a year later . After the end of his career in 2001, Germann worked for ten years as a player and coach at SpVg Olpe .
