Frank Hertel

Frank Hertel (born March 11, 1971 in Bamberg ) is a German sociologist and publicist .

Hertel spent his youth in Bayreuth, where he also graduated from high school. He studied sociology mainly in Würzburg and worked in various jobs. He has been a freelance writer since 2010 and lives with his family in Neuötting .

For “bone work” (2010), his “front report from the affluent society”, in which he describes his investigative experience as a cheap worker in an industrial bakery, Hertel was sharply attacked by Günter Wallraff .
