Frank Lendor
Francisco "Frank" Antonio Lendor Sanabia (born October 4, 1939 in Santo Domingo ) is a Dominican opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Lendor was one of the founding members of the Coro Nacional in 1955 , which he later left in favor of a career as a soloist. But he belonged to the Cantantes Liricos until 1978 . In 1972 he graduated from the Conservatorio Nacional de Música .
As an opera singer he appeared in roles such as “Cesare Angelotti” in Giacomo Puccini's Tosca , “Zuniga” in Georges Bizet's Carmen and the “Count of Monterone” in Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto . He also worked several times as a solo singer with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de la República Dominicana , for example in 1971 at the world premiere of Margarita Luna's Epitafio en el Aire under the direction of Manuel Simó and in 1991 at the performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony .
