Frank Möller (historian)

Frank Möller (born March 9, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German historian . He is a private lecturer and research assistant at the Historical Institute of the University of Greifswald .

Frank Möller studied Medieval and Modern History, Political Science and Public Law at the University of Frankfurt am Main . From 1990 to 1993 he worked as a research assistant in the DFG project “City and Bourgeoisie in the 19th Century” and received his doctorate in 1994. From 1993 to 1998 he worked as a research assistant at the Historical Institute of the University of Jena . He then taught at the Heinrich-von-Gagern-Gymnasium in Frankfurt am Main . From 2002 to 2003 he headed the DFG project “Source Edition Gottlieb Christian Schüler ”. From 1999 to 2001 he received a research grant from the Gerda Henkel Foundation . In 2004 Möller completed his habilitation with a biography of the liberal politician Heinrich von Gagern at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. The habilitation thesis was awarded the Wolf-Erich-Kellner-Gedächtnisstiftung prize in 2005. Möller has been a research assistant at the Historical Institute of the University of Greifswald since 2006. In 2012/13 and 2013/14 he represented the Chair of Modern History at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel for one year .
