Frank Meyer (doctor)

Frank Meyer (born August 16, 1960 in Koethen ) is a German health author.

Life

Frank Meyer grew up in East Berlin . In 1978 he passed the Abitur at the 2nd Extended High School in Berlin-Mitte . He then completed an obligatory year of preparation for studying medicine at the Charité in Berlin. Since fleeing the GDR in 1980 he has lived in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg . He is married and has two daughters.

From 1980 to 1987 he studied medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and received his license to practice medicine in 1987 after completing his doctorate . After seven years in the clinic, he has been a general practitioner in Nuremberg since 1994 .

Since 1980 he has been active as a journalist on anthroposophical, cultural and health topics, mainly for the magazine Info3 - Anthroposophie im Dialog . In this position he conducted interviews with Joseph Beuys, Diether Rudloff and Antoni Tàpies, among others. From 1982 to 1985 he was editor and co-editor of the journal Contributions from the Anthroposophical Student Work . He is the author of several books on medical topics.

Since 2001 he has been a speaker and lecturer at medical congresses on health topics such as stress , anthroposophic medicine , self-regulation , mindfulness and medicinal plants .
