Frank Pleyer
Frank Pleyer (born June 28, 1929 in Haberspirk (Czechoslovakia); † January 3, 2006 ) was a German jazz and entertainment musician (orchestra conductor, arrangements, composition).
Live and act
Pleyer studied at the music school in Rothenburg ob der Tauber . From 1948 he lived in Munich, where he worked for the radio and arranged for the orchestras of Max Greger , Hugo Strasser , Erwin Lehn , Willi Stech and Ernst Mosch . Since the mid-1950s he directed a studio band under his own name, with which he released albums such as Tanz-Party or Cadets Happening . With Mosch he also wrote some popular titles, especially for the original street musicians . He also directed the Zurich Radio Entertainment Orchestra and the DRS Big Band ( With Compliments, Frank , 1984).
In 1970 he founded a music publisher and in 1984 the record label JMP Records. He has also presented productions under the aliases Bob Kayser, Elmar Steingarden, Joe Fender, Karl Maihofer, Pedro Gonez, Simon Hardenbergh, Toni Zartner and Wiegand Overstaedt.
