Frank Sauerbrey is a former German ski jumper .
On December 30, 1984 Sauerbrey made his debut in the ski jumping world cup in Oberstdorf . He finished jumping in 26th place. In Garmisch-Partenkirchen , too , he only reached 29th place. In Innsbruck he was able to jump into the World Cup points for the first time on January 4, 1985 with place 10. At the end of the season he was 53rd in the overall World Cup with 6 World Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tirol , he won the bronze medal behind the teams from Finland and Austria in team jumping together with Manfred Deckert , Klaus Ostwald and Jens Weißflog . After the World Cup it was quiet about Sauerbrey. It was not until January 12, 1986 that he jumped again in the World Cup in Liberec and won a World Cup point with 15th place. On January 17, 1986, he finished his active ski jumping career with a 13th place in jumping in Klingenthal .
