Frank Seeringer

Frank Seeringer (born October 8, 1946 in Osterode ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1982 to 1986 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After elementary school, Frank Seeringer attended the Osteroder grammar school and in 1966 obtained his university entrance qualification. He then signed up for three years as a regular soldier in the Bundeswehr and became captain of the reserve. From 1969 he studied biology and sport in Göttingen . After the state examination in 1973, he was initially a trainee lawyer at the Josephinum Hildesheim high school , and two years later he worked as a teacher at the Osteroder high school. For many years he was involved in a volleyball team of the Lower Saxony League as a coach and leader of the team. He is the 1st chairman of the MTV Osterode sports club.

His political career began in the Junge Union, where he was active as its district chairman and member of the state executive. In 1970 he then joined the CDU and was district chairman and member of the district board from 1979 to 1992. He was also a member of the supervisory board of Osteroder Westharzerkraftwerke, later Harz Energie, member of the board of directors of the international Sonnenberg district, member of the advisory board of the Osteroder district adult education center and member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Osterode. In 1976 he was elected to the Osterode city council, where he held the office of deputy mayor for 18 years, in the same year he became a member of the district council and five years later he was the first deputy district administrator in the Osterode district, which he held with interruptions until 2011 . He was group chairman for 15 years. In the 10th electoral term, from 1982 to 1986, he was a direct candidate for the Osterode constituency and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament. From 1976 until his retirement he was director of the Lower Saxony State Examination Office. He is the holder of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

He is married to Regina Seeringer and has two children.
