The Franken Bräu is a beer brewery in Neundorf ( Markt Mitwitz ) in the Franconian Forest in Bavaria .

history

Brewhouse

The history of the brewery began in 1520 with the brewing rights in a Mitwitz farmhouse. The sales area of ​​the Franken Bräu quickly expanded into the neighboring territories ( Saxony-Coburg-Gotha , Meiningen , Thuringia ). After the Second World War , the brewery lost a good 70 percent of its sales market. The new owner since 2015 is Rainer Mohr, who bought the company from the Bauer family (Lorenz and Elisabeth Bauer).

Types of beer

The brewery produces the following types of beer itself: Pilsner , Festbier, Kellerbier, Schwarzbier, Märzen, Urhell, Urtrunk, Skull Sprinkler, Weissbier, Radler, NaturRadler. There is a seasonal bock beer and a winter beer.
