Frankenturm (Warburg)
The Frankenturm is part of the medieval city fortifications of the Neustadt of the East Westphalian city of Warburg, first mentioned around 1226 .
The still existing city tower is located on the straight, inner northern city wall and served to secure it. It has a square floor plan and was probably built in the 14th century. Its inner development took place through high entrances directly from the battlements on the former 6 m high city wall. On the north side it has a stone bay window .
The curved hood dates from the 17th century.
