The building with the postal address Frankenwall 25 is a listed building on Frankenwall in Stralsund . The building used as a school bears the name Gerhart-Hauptmann-Schule .

The three-storey brick building with 22 window axes was in the years 1897 to 1900 on the site of the Stralsund city fastening belonging Blue Tower Bastion on Franconia pond, designed by F. Wohlbrück as Higher boys' school built.

The facade is designed in the neo-Gothic style. The main front to the Frankenwall is divided by two lateral and one central risalit . They are highlighted by pillar gables with a bezel structure and are richly decorated with tracery .

The middle risalit has a large tracery rosette with a mosaic and a clock . The Stralsund coat of arms is executed in the two side elevations as well as in the central elevation.

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is registered with the number 265 in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund .
