History and description
The "Landhaus" at Frankfurter Straße 22 was built around 1860. Stylistically, the house belongs to late classicism . The two-storey cubic house has four window axes . The facade is structured horizontally by cornices and finished off with a strong cornice against the sloping roof. The front is accentuated by two small, external balconies .
In the courtyard there is a historic winter garden extension with a wood carving characteristic of the construction period .
Monument protection
The house and the winter garden are typical examples of the late classicist architectural style in Darmstadt. For architectural and city-historical reasons, the building is a listed building .
