Franklin (moderator)

Franklin (born September 8, 1975 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; actually Frank Schmidt ) is a German television presenter.

Franklin made a name for himself as a magician at a young age. In 1994, at the age of eighteen, he was the youngest artist to win the World Championship Grand Prix of the World Championships of Magic of the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) . This was followed by appearances at the Pacifico Convention Center in Yokohama , the Jordanian royal family in Amman , the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas and the Magic Castle in Hollywood .

In the same year, Team Disney began his television career on the private broadcaster RTL . He became really known from 1998 with the 100,000 Mark Show (until 2000) and his own daily talk show Franklin (2000-2004). From 1999 to 2000 he hosted the show Lucky Letters on RTL II .

In 2005 Franklin returned to his roots with the ARD magic show tricked out - the incredible show . He moderated and produced three TV events of this kind. "Tricked out" is the most elaborate magic production ever produced for German television. On April 15, 2007, he presented the program Wunschzeit on ARD .

In 2003 Frank Schmidt founded Blueprint Productions Holding GmbH and Blueprint TV-Productions GmbH and was a managing partner until 2015; Blueprint Productions Holding GmbH develops and licenses TV formats for the international market, and Blueprint TV-Productions GmbH, based in Cologne, produces TV formats for private and public broadcasters. In February 2015 Schmidt sold the production company he had founded.
