Frans van Eemeren
Frans Hendrik van Eemeren (born April 7, 1946 in Helmond ) is a Dutch communication scientist and argumentation theorist . He is professor of linguistic communication, argumentation theory and rhetoric at the University of Amsterdam and co-founder of the Pragma Dialectic .
Life
In 1982 he did his doctorate in linguistic communication with Robert Grootendorst , with whom he also developed the argumentation theory of the pragma dialectic .
