Stoeger Prize
The Elise L. Stoeger Prize is an international music prize for chamber music repertoire. It is awarded to composers every two years by the New York Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and is endowed with 25,000 US dollars.
history
The Elise L. Stoeger Prize was donated by the psychoanalyst Milan Stoeger in memory of his wife (1922–1983) and out of gratitude for the music that was a passion of their life together. It was first awarded in 1987.
