Manfred Tripbacher (born February 23, 1957 in Augsburg) is a former German soccer player.

Career

Tripbacher played his first two games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1976/77 season wearing the FC Augsburg jersey . During this time he was still mainly active for the club's amateur team. In the following season he then had a regular place in the second division team. During the first half of the 1978/79 season he left the club and moved to the Bundesliga for Eintracht Braunschweig . Tripbacher was also able to prevail in the first division. With the BTSV he was relegated to the second division in 1980. The direct ascent succeeded, however. The next descent followed in 1985. This time they were far from being promoted again and after the 1985/86 season, which ended with 12th place in the second division, Tripbacher moved back to FC Augsburg as part of an austerity course by Eintracht, which now only competed in the Bayern League. At the end of the 1980s he was still active for the lower class BC Harlequin - a project of an arcade operator who wanted to bring his own club into higher class football. One of his teammates there was Reinhard Kindermann , with whom he had also played in all of his previous adult positions. This was followed by a job as a player-coach at TSV Schwaben Augsburg . The team was promoted to the Bayern League in 1991, but had to accept relegation after one season.

After the end of his career, he stayed in Augsburg and now (2011) runs a beverage trade. He is also still active in football. a. 2007/08 TSV Fischach and plays in the traditional team of FC Augsburg.
