Dieter Versen (born June 22, 1945 in Bochum ) is a former German football player .

Career

In 1959, Versen began his football career at VfL Bochum as a youth player. From 1963 to 1979 he played for VfL Bochum as a defender . With VfL he was champion of the Association League Westphalia in the 1964/65 season . After the rise in 1965 in the Regionalliga West , he completed 133 Regional Games for VfL, where he scored 12 goals and from the Bundesliga affiliation (1971) Other 158 Bundesliga games in which he was able to achieve four goals. He was also used in 16 promotion round games for Bochum in which he scored two goals. In 1968 he reached the DFB Cup final with VfL , which was lost to 1. FC Köln 1: 4.

In 1979 he moved to the United States for the San José Earthquakes . There he came to 29 missions and one goal in the NASL .

He is a trained laboratory technician.
