František Flos
František Flos ( pseudonyms - Brabec, F. Konopka, Filip Kos, Pěnkava, Rorejs, F. Strnad and F. Vrabec ) (born July 27, 1864 in Přelouč ; † January 8, 1961 in Prague ) was a Czech teacher, playwright, Translator and writer. He was a representative of realism.

He initially worked as a teacher, later he was a school inspector. Most of his life he lived in Týnec nad Labem and Prague. He started writing relatively late, around 1900.
Works
He became famous as an author of adventure books for teenagers. He wrote figuratively and his stories were marked with teachings that should have a positive effect on the youth. Together with Eduard Štorch, he was considered to be the founder of Czech adventure literature for young people.
