Přelouč (German Prelauc , Pritzland , Pschelautsch , also Przelautsch ) is a city in the Czech Republic . It is located 15 kilometers west of Pardubice and belongs to the Okres Pardubice .
history
Přelouč is mentioned for the first time in 1086 as a foundation property of the Benedictine monastery Opatowitz . In 1261 Přemysl Ottokar II granted the monastery a town privilege for Přelouč. The Opatovicky monks founded in the late 14th century Přelouč a provost . During the Hussite Wars , Přelouč was devastated in 1421 by an army of the East Bohemian nobleman Johann Městecký von Opočno , who fought on the side of the imperial noble party. Together with the former monastery goods, Přelouč came to George of Podebrady in the middle of the 15th century . Whose sons Heinrich d. Ä. and Heinrich d. In 1482 J. pledged Přelouč with the neighboring villages of Veliká Lhota, Malá Lhotka, Jankovice, Kozašice and Škudly to Stephan Anděl of Ronovec ( Štěpan Anděl z Ronovce ), from whom his son of the same name inherited it. He sold Přelouč on September 11, 1518 to Wilhelm II of Pernstein . In 1560 Přelouč became a royal chamberlain and in 1580 Emperor Rudolf II elevated it to a royal chamber town.
Economic development stagnated in the 17th and 18th centuries. Only with the connection to the Prague - Olomouc railway line did an economic upswing set in. 1850-1960 Přelouč was a district town.
Kiekert CS sro is the only large industrial company with its headquarters in Přelouč. The subsidiary of the automotive supplier Kiekert AG based in Heiligenhaus , founded in 1993 , has developed into the Kiekert Group's largest plant with around 1,700 employees.
