Uhersko is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 18 kilometers southeast of the city center of Pardubice and belongs to the Okres Pardubice .
geography
Uhersko is located in the west of the Chotzener Tafel on the right bank of the Loučná . In the northeastern forest Boršov lies with the pond Lodrant and the bastion Najlust. The railway connection Česká Třebová – Prague , at which Uhersko has a train station, runs south of the village on the left of the Loučná .
Neighboring towns are Litětiny in the north, Trusnov in the northeast, Žíka and Sedlíšťka in the east, Opočno in the southeast, Ostrov and Městec in the south, Turov and Čeradice in the west and Horní Roveň in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village comes from 1308.
The church was built in 1704. The writer Alois Jirásek lived in Uhersko in the 19th century and described life in the village in parts of his novels V cizích službách (1885) and Z mladých cest . In the 1920s, the painter and graphic artist Alois Mudruňka created sgraffiti on the municipal office, the gym, butcher shop and other buildings , which his nephew Čestmír Mudruňka restored in 1998.
