Starý Mateřov (German Alt Materzow , 1939–45 Alt Materschau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southwest of the city center of Pardubice on the city limits and belongs to the Okres Pardubice .

geography

Starý Mateřov is on the left side of the Bylanka at its tributary Mateřovský potok on the Heřmanoměstecká tabule ( Hermannstädtler Tafel ). Northeast of Stary Mateřov is the Pardubice airport of the village, north of the Shelter facility .

Neighboring towns are Popkovice in the north, Dukla, Nové Jesenčany and Jesničánky in the northeast, Dražkovice and Staré Jesenčany in the east, Třebosice and Dubany in the southeast, Čepí in the south, Jezbořice , Cerhov and Jeníkovice in the southwest, Barchov and Veselá in the west and Čladíkovice, Novívice , Staré Čívice and V Borku in the northwest.

history

Mateřov was probably founded in the 10th or 11th century. At the beginning of the 13th century the village belonged to the possessions of the Lords of Hrabischitz . The first written mention of Matarow took place in 1227, when Kojata von Brüx the village together with Slakowicz and Černočice as well as the Brüxer market rate of the ninth week to the Benedictine monastery Opatowitz .

Later Mateřov became the seat of the Vladiken family Máteřovský von Máteřov ( Materzowsky von Materzow ). After the death of Jiřík Máteřovský the estate in 1404 fell to the Bohemian crown home . The next owner was Vilém Kepka von Ostrožno; In 1407 Jan Sokol von Lacembok and Vilém von Duban inherited the estate, and Vilém von Turovice also received a share. Then the owners of Mateřov changed in quick succession; to them belonged Jindřich Dubánek of Duban, Jan Ohništský of Ohnišťany, Zdeněk Bošínský of Božejov and Diviš Bošínský of Božejov. The latter was from 1530 to 1537 as captain of the Pardubitz rule in the service of the Lords of Pernstein . In 1537 he sold the village and the Mateřov farm for 700 Czech groschen to Johann von Pernstein , who added the estate to his rule Pardubice. On March 21, 1560, his son Jaroslav sold the reign of Pardubitz to King Ferdinand I. His successor Maximilian II transferred the administration of the royal lords to the court chamber . In 1777 Mateřov consisted of 26 houses, in 1790 there were 30. In the course of the raabization between 1790 and 1806, the Dominikalsiedlung Neu-Mateřow was built north-west of the village on emphyteutized estate grounds ; the wooden chalets of the settlement popularly called Spálov were built around a round village square. During the cholera outbreak of 1806, 16 people died in Mateřov within a short period of time, including the Třebosice pastor Theobald Bulíček.

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim District village located Mateřow of 45 houses, where 359 people lived. The place was divided into Old Mateřow and New Mateřow . The parish was the seat of Třebo . Until the middle of the 19th century Mateřow remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Chamber of Commerce Pardubice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Mateřov formed from 1849 with the districts Nový Mateřov and Starý Mateřov a municipality in the judicial district of Pardubice . From 1868 the community belonged to the Pardubitz district . In 1869 Mateřov had 425 inhabitants and consisted of 51 houses. The village has been called Starý Mateřov since the beginning of the 20th century, and Nový Mateřov was no longer designated as a district. In 1900 there were 395 people in Starý Mateřov, in 1910 there were 432. During the First Republic , the Pardubice military airfield was built between Starý Mateřov and Popkovice. In 1930 the village had 444 inhabitants and consisted of 92 houses. In 1949 Starý Mateřov was assigned to the Okres Pardubice-okolí, since 1960 the municipality has belonged again to the Okres Pardubice . Between 1964 and 1990 Dubany and Třebosice were incorporated. In the 2001 census, there were 322 people in Starý Mateřov's 125 houses. The village has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2007, the silver hunting dog on green hills is borrowed from the coat of arms of the Vladiken von Máteřov.
