Staré Hradiště (German Old Hradish ) is two kilometers north of Pardubice ( Czech Republic ). The place with 1701 inhabitants belongs to the microregion Kunětická Hora .

history

In the second half of the 12th century the village belonged to the Opatov Monastery estate. After the destruction of the monastery by the Hussites , it came into the possession of the von Miletínka. Later it belonged to the lords of Münsterberg and for several generations to the lords of Pernstein and the Bohemian crown. The original fortification was destroyed by numerous conquests.

Community structure

The municipality Staré Hradiště consists of the districts Brozany ( Brozan ), Hradiště na Písku ( Sand Village ) and Staré Hradiště ( Old Hradischt ). Basic settlement units are Brozany, Brozany-u Ráb, Hradiště na Písku, Psinek and Staré Hradiště. Staré Hradiště also included the Nové Hradiště ( New Hradish ) and the one-layer Fáblovka ( Fablowka ).

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Brozany nad Labem and Staré Hradiště.
