history

The first written mention of Rohoznice was in 1372 as the property of the Benedictine monastery Opatowitz . After the monastery was destroyed in 1421 during the Hussite Wars , King Sigismund signed the village over to Diviš Bořek von Miletínek in 1436 . Mikuláš von Chrast belonged to the following owners, he sold the village in 1491 to Wilhelm von Pernstein . When Jaroslav von Pernstein sold the Kunburg estate to King Ferdinand I in 1560 , Rohoznice was one of their estates. In 1588 there were eleven compulsory properties and a privileged tavern in Rohoznice, the judge from Ždánice exercised the lower jurisdiction.

In 1835 the village of Rohosnitz or Rohoznice in the Chrudim district consisted of 30 houses in which 234 people, including a Protestant family, lived. The parish was Wositz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Rohosnitz remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Chamber of Commerce Pardubitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rohožnice formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Pardubice . Around 1856 a bath house was built at a spring in the Klektánkách forest . From 1868 the community belonged to the Pardubitz district . The village has been called Rohoznice since the end of the 19th century . In 1900, 311 people lived in the 47 houses in the village; at the 1910 census, Rohoznice consisted of 56 houses and had 336 inhabitants. 1949 Rohoznice was assigned to the Okres Pardubice-okolí; this was repealed in the course of the territorial reform of 1960, since then the community has belonged to Okres Pardubice.
