In 1833, the village of Tettau in the Bidschower district consisted of 30 houses, in which 260 people, including two Protestant families, lived. The parish was Žiželitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Tettau remained subject to the Fideikommissherrschaft Chlumetz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Tetov formed a district of the Kundratice municipality in the Chlumetz judicial district from 1849 . From 1868 the village belonged to the Neubydžow district . In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Přelouč, since 1960 Tetov has belonged to the Okres Pardubice . In the 1980s, plans arose to build a nuclear power plant on the municipality's cadastre, which was to supply district heating to the capital Prague and the agglomeration of Hradec Králové , Pardubice and Chrudim , and later also the Kolín , Kutná Hora and Čáslav regions .
