Torsten Pröfrock is a German techno - and Electronica - musicians and music label owner .

Life

Pröfrock has been working in the Berlin record store Hard Wax , founded by Mark Ernestus , since the 1990s , initially as a temporary worker alongside his studies at Humboldt University , and later as the store's main buyer.

From 1995 onwards, Pröfrock's first releases appeared on labels such as Chain Reaction , FatCat Records and his own label DIN. He also published records by other artists such as Arovane , Monolake and Pole on DIN .

Pröfrock published under numerous pseudonyms such as Dynamo , Erosion , Log , Resilent , Traktor and Various Artists . He ran the record label DIN until 2000, when he stopped music production and label work for the time being.

In addition to Robert Henke , he was part of his project Monolake from 2003 onwards . Henke also motivated him to produce new music again. Since 2006 Pröfrock ran the label erosion , on the next re-releases as his early works Various Artists of his project, especially the plates T ++ appeared, with whom he's hitherto somewhat from Dub influenced style with influences from the Jungle and UK Garage combined . The project name is based on the programming language C ++ and refers to the digital production method of the project. Pröfrock performed live as T ++ at Fabric in London and at Berghain in Berlin. The EP Wireless , released in 2010, was included in the list of 100 Best Albums of the Decade So Far by Factmag 2014 .
