history

The first written mention of the village Vápna took place in the land table in 1337 , when the rule of Hradišťko fell to Peter von Rosenberg after the death of Dětoch von Třebelovice, called Žiželice . The place name is derived from the limestone that was extracted here. The oldest news from the Church of St. George comes from 1366. In 1369 the village was called Cymentum or Wapno , and from 1384 on as Cementum alias wapno . In 1420 the Catholic priest was driven out by the Hussites . In the same year Ulrich von Rosenberg sold the Hradišťko- Žiželice estate to King Sigismund . From 1434 Vápno again had a Catholic priest. The subsequent owners of the estate were Heinrich von Wartenberg , the Counts of Waldstein , from 1517 Zdeniek Lev von Rosental and then Wilhelm Kostka von Postupitz , who sold them to Vojtěch von Pernstein in 1521 together with the Chlumetz estate. Johann von Pernstein , who had acquired the dominions in 1533, sold them to King Ferdinand I , who united them in 1547 to form a chamberlain for Chlumetz. In 1577 Johann von Wchinitz received the rule as a pledge. In 1611, King Matthias signed the Chlumetz Chamber of Commerce to Wenzel Graf Kinsky von Wchinitz and Tettau for loyal services in obtaining the Bohemian Crown. During the class uprising of 1618 , the Catholic pastor was removed and a Protestant preacher installed. After Count Wenzel Kinsky invaded the parish church of St. Ursula in Chlumetz in 1620 to stop Hussite services, an uprising broke out in the area. During the Thirty Years' War the parish of Vápno became extinct and the church was assigned to the district of the dean in Chlumetz. In 1721 Vápno was given a parish again, to which the Újezder Church was assigned as a branch church. In 1738 a school was set up, which the children from the surrounding villages also attended. In 1775 there was a great peasant revolt in the Chlumetz rule.

In 1833, the village of Wapno , located in the Bijov district , consisted of 34 houses in which 249 people lived. The Church of St. Georg and the school. There was also an inn. Wapno was the parish for Augezd , Cheyst , Klamosch , Kolles , Komarow , Klein-Wiklek , Přepich , Schtit and Straschow . Until the middle of the 19th century Wapno remained subordinate to the Fideikommissherrschaft Chlumetz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vápno formed from 1849 with the district Přepychy a municipality in the judicial district of Chlumetz . From 1868 the community belonged to the Neubydžow district and Malé Výkleky was added as a district. In 1869 Vápno had 229 inhabitants and consisted of 37 houses. In 1882 a new school building was built; at that time 448 children were being educated in five classes. In 1900 there were 250 people in Vápno, compared to 228 in 1910. Malé Výkleky and Přepychy broke up in 1904 and formed their own communities. In 1930 Vápno had 187 inhabitants and consisted of 47 houses. After the Second World War, the Kinsky counts' large estates were expropriated. In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Přelouč, since 1960 Vápno belongs to the Okres Pardubice . In the 2001 census, 126 people lived in the municipality's 49 houses.

  • Underground tunnels. Legend has it that a walk from the church led to the now unknown Sušina Festival. After reports that such cavities had been discovered in 1947, they were searched for in 2013 and excavation began. According to the measurements that have been carried out, a carved tunnel leading to the remains of a wall of a round object is assumed; there should also be cavities under the church.
