history

Archaeological finds show that the area has been inhabited since the Neolithic Age .

Part of the village originally belonged to the Cistercian abbey of Sezemice, which was destroyed in 1421 . The first written mention of Časy took place in 1494 when Wilhelm von Pernstein acquired the former monastic share and struck his united dominions Pardubitz and Kunburg . In the vicinity of the village he had the Markvart and Labská ponds built. Wilhelm von Pernstein bequeathed his Bohemian goods to his younger son Vojtěch in 1521 , after his death they passed to his brother Johann in 1534 . In 1548 he left his son Jaroslav in high debt.

The other part was owned by the Vladiken Slepotický from Sulice in the middle of the 16th century . Markvart Slepotický von Sulice received the goods Bezděkov , Vejvanovice , Časy, Dvakačovice , Choteč and Třtí in 1548 when his father's inheritance was divided . In 1551 Markvart Slepotický sold his shares in Časy and Choteč to Jaroslav von Pernstein. On March 21, 1560 Jaroslav von Pernstein sold the entire rule of Pardubitz to King Ferdinand I. His successor Maximilian II transferred the administration of the royal lords to the court chamber .

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim District village located Čas or Casy of 22 houses, where 187 people lived. The parish was in Sezemitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Čas remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Chamber of Commerce Pardubice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Časy formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Koloděje in the judicial district of Pardubice . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district of Pardubice . In 1869 Časy had 192 inhabitants and consisted of 27 houses. In 1873 Časy broke away from Koloděje and formed its own municipality. In 1900 237 people lived in the village, in 1910 there were 274. In 1930 Časy had 327 inhabitants. In 1949 Časy was assigned to the Okres Holice. Since 1960 the community has belonged again to Okres Pardubice . In 1961 it was incorporated into Choteč. The municipality of Časy has existed again since November 24, 1990. At the 2001 census, 182 people lived in the 59 houses in Časy.
