Natascha Kotenko ( Ukrainian Наташа Котенко ; born April 3, 1974 , born Natascha Bodentschuk ) is a former Ukrainian handball player who played for the Ukrainian national team.
Career
Natascha Kotenko grew up in Zaporizhia . She started playing handball at the age of 12. At the age of 16 she ran for HK Motor Zaporizhia for the first time in the top division. With Motor Zaporizhia, she won the Ukrainian championship in 1993, 1994 and 1995. The versatile player in the back area moved to the Hungarian first division club Debreceni Vasutas SC in 1996 .
Kotenko ran in the 1999/2000 season for the German Bundesliga club SG Hessen Hersfeld . She then moved to league competitor Buxtehuder SV . For the BSV she scored 574 goals in 142 games. During her time in Buxtehude Kotenko was part of the squad of the Ukrainian national team, for which she played 17 international matches. In 2008 she moved to the second division club SGH Rosengarten . With Rosengarten, she rose to the Bundesliga in 2010. After the 2011/12 season, she ended her career.
Kotenko works as a youth trainer at Buxtehuder SV. She also trains a national team for the Hamburg handball association .
