Opočno (German Opotschno ) is a district of the municipality Trusnov in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers northwest of Vysoké Mýto and belongs to the Okres Pardubice .
geography
Opočno is located below the confluence of the Svařeňka brook on the left bank of the Loučná on the Choceňská tabule ( Chotzener Tafel ). The railway line Česká Třebová – Praha runs on the northern edge of the village . The Borek rises north of the village (258 m nm).
Neighboring towns are Trusnov in the north, Franclina , Žíka and Sedlíšťka in the northeast, Radhošť , Malejov and Nová Ves in the east, Stradouň and Vinary in the southeast, Mravín and Mentour in the south, Ostrov and Městec in the southwest, Turov in the west and Uhersko and Najlust in the northwest .
history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1308, when a German army from the royal cities of Chrudim , Polička and Hohenmauth was defeated in the fields between Opočno and Turov by a Bohemian army of knights under Ctibor von Zámrsk and Uhersko and Jaroslav von Borohrádek. The village belonged initially to festivals Uhersko and came to their destruction at the end of the 15th century to rule Chroustovice .
In 1835 the village of Opotschno , also called Opotschna , Opočno or Opočna , in the Chrudim district , consisted of 37 houses in which 214 people, including eight Protestant families, lived. The parish was Uhersko. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village of the allodial rule Chraustowitz remained inactive.
After the abolition of patrimonial Opočno formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Hohenmauth . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Opočno had 229 inhabitants and consisted of 40 houses. In 1900 there were 243 people living in the village, in 1930 there were 207. Since 1960 the municipality has belonged to Okres Pardubice . In 1961 it was incorporated into Trusnov . In the 2001 census, there were 52 people in the 43 houses in Opočno.
