Stanislav Brebera
Stanislav Brebera (born August 10, 1925 - † May 11, 2012 in Pardubice ) was a Czech chemist . In the Czechoslovak state company VÚPCH ( Výzkumný ústav průmyslové chemie - Research Institute for Industrial Chemistry), today Explosia , in Pardubice, he developed the plastic explosive Semtex in 1966 .
Career
Brebera became a member of the Communist Party in 1945 and studied at the Technical College and the College of Military Engineering in Prague . From 1950 he worked for the chemical company Synthesia , which later became VUPCH.
